Unsurprisingly, Apple seems to have, ONCE AGAIN, made some statement about caring about games and has ONCE AGAIN stopped caring about games. I don't even know if they have new content? It's like they've totally forgotten they have a "games" subscription. They could have made a very thorough 2D remake of the game but it wouldn't inspire the same sort of awe. Apple Arcade is, at this point, mostly getting "Plus" versions of "iOS classics" which are basically just the original games (Fruit Ninja, Mini Metro, etc) but. What I like about the Chrono Trigger remake is that you get to see all the places but in 3D and it gives a nice new perspective on things. It's so funny to me how Apple decided that, for TV+, they were going to go out there and actually fund/create/promote new prestige content, yet for the massively bigger and more profitable market of video games, they seem to not even remotely care. Honestly, it seems like the best thing about Apple Arcade is how Apple will give indie devs a fat stack of cash to make a game for their weird, forgotten service, and then 6 months later they can release it elsewhere and actually have people play it. Chrono Resurrection An unofficial remake/sequel to the game, called Chrono Resurrection, was planned and being developed by Nathan Lazur and his team. Apple Arcade launched with a total thud and no one REALLY gives a damn about it. Click to expand. No I totally do not blame you.
